Christopher & Christine Pierce, Owners

Christopher’s favorite Wicks Park meal:  Pasta Carbonara and a margarita

Christine’s favorite Wicks Park meal:  Appetizers and anything from the wine menu

Why he loves Saugatuck:  The small town vibe & the weather

Why she loves Saugatuck:  The community, the people, the business owners, and the tourists who return every year

With a culinary background that consists of everything from cooking to restaurant management, Christopher Pierce worked in the restaurant business for years before joining his father’s development business in Naples, FL. The culinary bug never quite left though, and after visiting his in-laws in Saugatuck for years, he found himself keeping his eye on a certain restaurant space every time he visited. When the space became available, Christopher knew it was time to follow his passion and Wicks Park Bar & Grille was born.

A graduate of Auburn, Christine Pierce worked in personnel recruitment before moving to Naples with her husband Christopher, where she enjoyed working in real estate as well as the hospitality industry. A native of the suburbs of Chicago, she has spent many a summer in Saugatuck and enjoys now seeing it through the eyes of her two young daughters.

Patrick & Pam Murphy, Owners

Pat’s Favorite Wicks Park meal:  The perch sandwich and a

root beer

Pam’s Favorite Wicks Park meal:  Saltimbocca and a

Dos Equis Amber with lime

Why he loves Saugatuck:  Being close to Lake Michigan and having so much to do year-round

Why she loves Saugatuck:  The beauty and creativity of the area, the art galleries, boaters, and small town atmosphere

Born in Illinois, Pat Murphy served in the Army for 2 years in Vietnam before settling down outside Chicago to raise 4 children with his wife Pam, whom he has been married to for 37 years.

In the real estate business for 33 of those years, he has been a custom home builder and remodeler in the Saugatuck area for the last 5 years – Wicks Park Bar & Grille was one of his remodels! Pat’s love of the area runs deep... with a grandfather living in Michigan he spent much of his childhood here and bought a home in Saugatuck in 2000, making it he and Pam’s full-time residence in 2004.

With a career as a real estate agent since 1989 and working with her husband in their building business, Pam Murphy definitely didn’t slow down when her 4 children left home. Now with 3 grandchildren as well, she calls Wicks Park Bar & Grille a “great family venture” that pooled the talent and resources of a family with vast experience in the culinary, real estate, and hospitality fields. Having vacationed in Saugatuck for years before moving here permanently 5 years ago, Pam just adores the town, feeling as though she’s come back to her roots.
